Revolutionizing Early Detection (RED)

Introducing our revolutionary health screening program to help men and women detect some of the most common and life-threatening health risks affecting Americans, including heart disease and stroke.

“Too many of us know someone who has suffered heart attack or stroke without any warning. The sad fact is, we have the ability to see most of these potentially life-threatening events coming with the right preventative and proactive measures. A fast, non-invasive RED Alert Screening can give you unparalleled insights about your risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke, and could truly save your life. Why wait for a close call, or worse, to find out you could be doing something more to ensure a long, healthy life?” – Lindsay Carmody

Heart Disease and Stroke Risk Factors

Heart disease and stroke pose significant health challenges in the United States, affecting millions of individuals.

“Heart disease and stroke claim more lives each year in the United States than all forms of cancer and Chronic Lower Respiratory Disease (CLRD) combined.” – American Heart Association

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the U.S., with heart disease accounting for about one in every four deaths. Moreover, the prevalence of heart disease is alarmingly high, with around 18.2 million adults aged 20 and above being diagnosed with coronary artery disease.

Similarly, stroke, a potentially devastating condition that occurs when the blood supply to the brain is interrupted or reduced, also poses a momentous risk to the population. According to the CDC, in the U.S., someone suffers from a stroke every 40 seconds, more than 795,000 people have a stroke every year and stroke remains a leading cause of death in the U.S. Moreover, stroke is a leading cause of long-term disability, causing physical, cognitive, and emotional impairments in survivors.

The risk factors for heart disease and stroke include high blood pressure, high cholesterol, smoking, diabetes, obesity, sedentary lifestyle, and a family history of cardiovascular diseases.

Addressing these risk factors through proactive screening and intervention can play a crucial role in reducing the burden of heart disease and stroke on individuals and society as a whole.

What Does the Screening Include?

Our RED Alert Screening includes:

  • A scan of the Carotid Artery
  • A test for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD)
  • A scan for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
  • A test for Atrial Fibrillation

Our screening program is overseen by Chief Cardiologist Dr. Reiser who is renowned for providing leading cardiovascular care in male and female patients. Our screenings are completed by highly trained and experienced medical professionals that provide accurate, actionable results.

Following your screening, the Chief Cardiologist will evaluate your results and our team will provide a comprehensive overview of your current state of well-being, helping you understand those results in finite detail. Should any irregularities exist, we will also provide insight on potential next steps for you to take and create connections with leading specialists and medical providers in the region to get your health back in control.

How Much Does it Cost?

This comprehensive screening is offered for $199 and takes place in our welcoming, convenient clinic. This competitive pricing includes the scans as well as the expert interpretation of results.

How Long Does it Take? Is it Painful?

This brief, painless, in-clinic procedure is non-invasive and involves placing an ultrasound probe and electrodes against the outside of your skin to reveal potential cardiovascular issues.

The appointment takes 30-60 minutes and results will be shared within two weeks.

Who Should Get This Screening? How Often Do I Need it?

We recommend this screening for all adults interested in understanding their cardiovascular risk factors. This includes individuals who are aware of a family history of cardiovascular disease or diabetes, those who have struggled with weight management, those who smoke, those with high blood pressure or cholesterol, as well as those who believe they are generally healthy but want to be proactive about their length and quality of life and avoid unexpected, life-threatening events like heart attack or stroke.

Frequency of screenings will depend on the individual. In general, we recommend this screening annually; those with pre-existing conditions or that discover an irregularity or high risk in their results may consider more frequent screenings.
